Ima Jean Garvey

Mrs. Ima Jean Garvey, 92, departed this life on Monday, June 26 at her sons home in White Bluff, TN. She was born on February 5, 1931 in Parson, TN to the late Luther Lee Houston and Emma Elizabeth Taylor Houston. Mrs. Garvey was a housewife and a member of Bruceton First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Woodford Michael Garvey, one sister and 3 brothers. She is survived by one son David Michael ( Darlene ) Garvey of White Bluff, TN. One niece Nina Joyce (Pete) Thacker of Virginia. One nephew Wade Allen (Alice) McMackins of Murfreesboro. Three grandchildren Angela, David and Damon. One great-grandson King Harris. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28th from 3:00 PM till 7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 29th from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM Funeral service time. In lieu flowers the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
