James Roger Barnes

Mr. James "Roger" Barnes, peacefully departed this earth on Friday, June 30, 2023 at his home in Bruceton with his love ones at his side. He was born on August 29, 1939 in Luckett, TN to the late Thomas and Mildred Owens Barnes. He was an Air Force Veteran and retired from CSX Railroad after 30 years of service along with being a Jaycee. Roger enjoyed repairing TV and radios in The Fix It Shop in Bruceton. He was a advid collector of vintage toys and cameras. Beside his parents he was also preceded in death by a precious grandson Lil Randy, a brother Tommy Barnes a sister Pat Alred and a sister-in-law Sharon Barnes. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Rickie Swafford Barnes. Two sons Keith (Paula)Barnes and Scott( Kim) Barnes .Two granddaughters Amanda (Kenny) Carey and Leah Barnes. Three great-grandchildren Ashlynn foster, Levi Carey and Kaylin Carey. One sister Beverly (John) Hiscot. Two brothers David (Diane) Barnes and Randy Barnes . Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 3 at 11:00AM Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be on Monday from 9:00 AM till 11:00 AM Funeral service time.
