John Wayne Hubbard, Sr

June 9, 1941 — October 28, 2024

Mr. John Wayne Hubbard, Sr, 83, departed this life on October 28, 2024 at his home in Hollow Rock. John was born on June 9, 1941, in Brownsville, TN to the late John Henry Hubbard and the late Margaret Lightfoot Hubbard. He was the owner/ operator of Camden Hardwood in Camden, a graduate of the Columbia Military Academy, a member of New Hope Methodist Church and of the National Hardwood Lumber Association. Mr. Hubbard was preceded in death by his son Little John Wayne Hubbard Jr. two sisters Charlotte Koob and Margaret Allen, one brother  William Franklin Hubbard. 

He is survived by two daughters: Lucinda Michelle Hubbard(John) Willis of Galveston, TX  and Wendy Hubbard (Patrick) Yarbro of Hollow Rock, TN. One son Michael (Lisa) Hubbard of Camden, TN.  One sister Carolyn Tanner of Nashville. The mother of his children Brenda Hubbard of Ripley. Eleven grandchildren: Lucas, Sara, Anna, Kimberly, Michael, Hannah, Ashley, Amanda, April, Trevor Cody and Joseph. Thirty five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 2 at 200. PM in the chapel of Bruceton Funeral. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2 from 10:00 AM till 2:00 PM Funeral Service time. Burial will follow in Hubbard Family Cemetery.
