Joseph Earl Townsend

Mr. Joseph Earl Townsend, 67, was born on October 1, 1954 in Paris, TN to late James Townsend and Bettie Jean Scott Townsend. Mr. Townsend departed this life on Sunday, August 21 at his home in Buena Vista, TN. He was a retired Police officer who worked for the Town of Hollow Rock for 20 years. He also served in the TN State Guard for 10 years. The family has chosen cremation. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, 27, 2022 at the Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM and memorial service from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Besides his parents, Mr. Townsend was also preceded in death by a sister Lori Ann Fry. Mr. Townsend is survived by his wife Dana Belinda Turman Townsend of Buena Vista, TN. They were married Oct. 1, 1996. Four daughters: Jo Anna Stallings of Camden, TN, Amanda Gayle Joyner of Medina, TN, Amanda Jean Turman of La Vergne, TN and Ganna Irene Vest of Buena Vista, TN. Two sisters Terri Karmer of Missouri and Shari Slagenweit of Iowa. Ten grandchildren: Alexis, Andrew, June, Rebekah, Craigan, Anna, Tori, Ayden, Kloie, & K.K.
