Troy Smothers

Mr. Troy Smothers, 94, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Mr. Smothers was born on March 21, 1927 in Camden, TN to the late Albert H. Smothers and Mary Emma Kee Smothers. Mr. Smothers was a retired salesman for Midway Nissan in Paris, TN and a member of Huntingdon First United Methodist Church. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Mary Jo Smothers, a grandson Brett Blankenship , a great granddaughter Madison Blankenship, 3 sisters Lucille Brewer, Odelle Cunningham, and Ruth Svoboda also 5 brothers Leon Smothers, Lloyd Smothers, Dennis Smothers, Dallas Smothers and Bobby Smothers. Mr. Smothers is survived by One daughter Kathy (Joe T ) Wood of Lexington . One son Keith (Janie) Smothers of Bruceton. 4 grandchildren Bart (Rachel) Blankenship, Weston Wood, Jessica (Luke) Foster and Robin Hart. 8 great-grandchildren: Hope Blankenship, Belle Blankenship, Bentley Blankenship, Jude Blankenship, Haden Mitchell, Abby Quinn, Sawyer Hart and Trace Foster. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 31 at 1:00pm at Bruceton First Baptist Church. Visitation at Bruceton Funeral Home will be held on Sunday, January 30 from 3:00 pm till 7:00 pm and on Monday from 9:00 am till 12:45 time for departure for the church.
