Wesley Lynn Ellis

Mr. Wesley Lynn "Scotty" Ellis, 76, of Goldsboro, N.C., formally of Buena Vista, TN, departed this life on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, N.C. He was born on July 1, 1944 in Madison County , TN to the late James Lester Ellis and Oma Lee Scott Ellis. He was a member of Stevens Chapel Baptist Church in Smithfield, where he was a part of the Jolly Elders Group and enjoyed traveling with them. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Peggy Ann Williams Ellis and a brother Leslie Ellis . He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Renee and Chris Cox of Goldsboro, one son and daughter-in-law Randal and Carolyn Ellis of Conover, four grandchildren Elijah Wesley Ellis, Savannah Faith Ellis, Scarlett Grace Ellis and Alexis Brie Cox ( Brian O'Connor) . One sister and brother-in-law: Linda ( Bailey) Simmons of Bruceton. Gravesite funeral services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 at McAuley Cemetery in Buena Vista, TN at 2:00 PM.
